On Wednesday, September 14, area residents can support people with autism just by dining at Applebee’s.

From 11:00 a.m. until closing, the Applebee’s restaurants in Lakewood and Dunkirk will hold “Dining to Donate” fund-raisers to benefit the 2016 Step Up for Autism celebration.  Applebee’s will donate 10 percent of the price of your meal.  Patrons must present the voucher below in order for the money to be donated to Step Up for Autism.  You can also have a voucher faxed or emailed to you by phoning 661-1465.

Please be aware that for the Applebee’s Dining to Donate fund-raiser, you will not receive a discount on the cost of your meal.  Rather, 10 percent of what you pay for your meal will be donated to Step Up for Autism.

The seventh annual Step Up for Autism takes place September 24.  Activities include a 1.5-mile walk, lunch, games, activities for adults and children, a Chinese auction, and a sweets auction.  There also will be a motorcycle dice run.

Money raised through Step Up for Autism goes to Filling the Gap, Inc., which works with The Resource Center and TRC Foundation to improve the lives of Chautauqua County residents on the autism spectrum.  For more information, phone 661-1477.
