Step Up for Autism to include motorcycle dice run
The inaugural “Loop the Lake” motorcycle dice run will take place Saturday, September 26, to benefit people with autism.
The dice run will be held in conjunction with the sixth annual Step Up for Autism celebration. Registration and check-in begin at 8:30 a.m. at The Resource Center’s administrative offices at 200 Dunham Avenue in Jamestown (the former Celoron school building). Participants are encouraged to park their motorcycles in the front parking lot, then walk around the building to the rear entrance to register.
At 9:30, dice run participants will set out on a course that includes stops at the Luensman Overview Park in Portland and Hogan’s Hut in Stow, before returning to The Resource Center in time for lunch and prize drawings. At each stop, participants will be given a roll of the dice. Re-rolls cost $1, and people may re-roll as often as they like.
Prizes will be given to the high-rolling driver; the low-rolling driver; the high-rolling rider; and the low-rolling rider.
Registration is $20 for a driver only, or $30 for a driver with a rider. Refreshments will be served. Participants also will receive a 2015 Step Up for Autism T-shirt.
For a registration form or more information, phone Suzette Smith at 661-1001 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The dice run is one of many events that will be taking place at Step Up for Autism. Money raised will support Chautauqua County residents who have autism, and their families. For more information, visit www.stepupforautism.com.
